The Innovation

pOpmètre system is a scientific innovation based on the following findings:

- The pulse wave velocity is not correlated with age in the upper limb while it is in the aorta and the lower limb [1].

- The complications of various diseases of vascular risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, tobacco) are located at the microcirculation: Kidney, heart, brain, eye, and small arteries of the lower limbs.

- The interaction between the small arteries and large arteries is an important consideration [2]. A virtuous circle causes an increase in the stiffness of large artery from the increase in mean arterial pressure, itself caused by the remodeling of arterioles, vasoconstriction induced, which is induced by the remodeling of large vessels and increased pulse pressure.

- pOpscore ® is a parameter correlated with age independently of blood pressure [3].
